Machine vision light source detection can accomplish many tasks that cannot be completed by manual detection, and it does not require high conditions. Even in environments with temperatures exceeding 1000 ℃, using machine vision light sources to detect the surface of hot-rolled steel can quickly detect steel defects. Today, we will introduce how the machine vision light source detection system can detect steel defects at high speed.

In order to produce seamless steel pipes, it is necessary to first transport the billet into the furnace for heating. Next, the blank is perforated to form a thick walled hollow shell, and the core rod is inserted into the shell. Then, elongation rolling is carried out in the core rod seamless pipe rolling mill. After the elongation process, the billet is transported to the pushing table, where it is pushed through a series of roller stands. Z forms a hollow long steel pipe with a continuous smaller wall thickness.

Although as effective as the hot rolling process, the roller stand in the rolling mill stand can occasionally produce markings and defects on the steel surface, which are very difficult to detect under hot conditions. Therefore, in quality improvement projects, many manufacturers hope to identify these defects as early as possible to avoid producing a large number of defective materials at a considerable cost.
